The Demeter Ring is a stunning creation centred around a rare 20 mm silver coin from the ancient city-state of Metapontion in Magna Graecia, dating back to circa 400–350 BCE. Expertly crafted in 18k frosted yellow gold and adorned with 35 grey sapphires, this elegant piece beautifully combines historical significance with contemporary design.
On the obverse, the coin depicts the goddess Demeter, the revered Greek goddess of harvest and agriculture. She is shown wearing a sphendone, a fashionable head scarf from the era, tied low to cover her hair in a bun while leaving the crown of her head exposed.
