Having lived in impoverished regions or countries where human rights are often violated, Renilde developed a profound sensitivity to these issues, making this commitment crucial to the growth of Sassi Fine Jewellery.
Our Sustainable Supply Chain
Sassi now only works with suppliers who are certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). The RJC is the world’s leading sustainability standard-setting organisation for the jewellery and watch industry, bringing together over 1900 companies across the global watch and jewellery supply chain, from mining to retail. RJC members share a belief in responsible business practices that do not harm people or the planet, achieved through collaboration and partnership. The RJC’s Code of Practices (CoP) aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), providing a foundation for sustainable transformation in the supply chain.
Our Fair Trade Gold
Since 2024, we source our gold through Single Mine Origin (SMO), guaranteeing that our practices meet the highest ethical and fair trade standards. SMO ensures that every ounce of gold is fully traceable to its member mines, which adhere to the most rigorous internationally recognised responsibility standards. This traceability is meticulously documented and externally audited, ensuring that SMO Gold is segregated all the way from mine to you. When you buy a Sassi piece, you will be able to trace the origin of your gold thanks to a QR code you will receive at the time of purchase.
Our Sustainable Packaging
In addition to our ethical sourcing, we are committed to reducing our environmental footprint. That’s why we package your jewellery in beautiful, reusable pouches instead of traditional boxes. These pouches are designed to be used and cherished for many years, aligning with our ethos of sustainability and responsible luxury.
