Historically, intaglios served as personal signatures, and this one was most likely set in a gold ring. Using an initial wax impression and the millennia-old lost wax casting technique, we preserved this exquisite image in gold. The intaglio’s extraordinary quality suggests it was a commissioned work, reflecting the wealth and refined taste of its original owner.
Now set in a flexible 18k rose gold cuff weighing 17.50 grams, the intaglio is complemented by two delicate wings adorned with 18 orange sapphires.
